Green Choices. Healthy Streams.
Homestead Elementary School Rain Garden
Several years ago, Mr. Bohlman's 5th grade class at Homestead Elementary School reached out to Harford County about their concerns for how runoff on the school property was causing erosion along the basketball court and contribing sediment into their local stream.
The 5th grade class presented their ideas to the County and helped to not only develop a solution to the erosion but also a way to treat the stormwater on their school campus.
